ForceField throughout a canal home, Runaway Bay
8 sliding doors, a hinged door, a set of front French doors and 12 window screens, all in ForceField, for a waterfront home that lives with its doors open.

The brief
This Runaway Bay home sits on the canal, with walls of sliding doors opening onto the pool, the deck and the water. The owner wanted every one of them secured without losing what makes the house: the breeze off the water and the view straight through to the canal.
He's a repeat customer. We've done a number of jobs at this property over the years, and this was the big one.
What we fitted
- 8 ForceField sliding security doors
- 1 ForceField hinged security door
- A set of ForceField French doors at the front entry
- 12 ForceField security window screens
- White frames to match the home's window and door frames
Why ForceField
For maximum airflow and visibility. ForceField's 316 stainless steel mesh is the clearest security screen we fit, so from the living areas the canal, the pool and the boats still look like they're right there. It's also a marine-grade mesh, which matters on a canal where salt air is part of daily life.
As with any home on the water, a regular fresh-water rinse keeps the screens and hardware looking their best. Our guide to screens for coastal and canal homes covers the care.
